New Year's Eve

New Years Eve! We invited the Todds and Grandparents over for dinner and movie/games. Mom and Dad left before it got too late but the kids kept busy playing with Austin's Christmas gift...Bendaroos!I love them because they can be shaped into about anything but they don't dry out, leave a mess, ruin anything and are re-usable!
The kids really used their imaginations.
Once they figured they could stick on the walls/cupboards, they couldn't stop creating "scenes".
It's almost like drawing on the wall.
This is SpongeBob inspired, of course.
The guys coudldn't seem to get enough of playing their "guy" games.
Erin and Sammy had an earlier babysitting job together. Erin came back but Sammy then had to go to a second babysitting job that was supposed to get over by midnight. Erin said she'd go over later to help her but, alas, the couch won her over...
Sammy was really bummed when it looked like the date was going late and she'd be stuck ringing in the new year alone- well with a couple of kids anyway. I took pitty and thought if she can't come home to the party, then I would bring the party to her!
Lexie came to help cheer her up too.
We called home and put it on speaker phone and listened as the ball dropped and we all screamed at the top of our lungs, "Happy New Year"!!
Everything staged and ready.
Cheers! Sparking cider and a few fun plastic glasses can make you feel special.
How grateful I am to have such a wonderful family to ring in another year with.

Hey those Bendaroos are pretty dang cool. I love how they can make scenes and they are not messy like Play-doh!
