Ethan had his 8th. Birthday!It was a Lego Party so we started off with a race to see how tall they could build with Legos without it falling over...
Ethan's guests: Jacob, Shane, Tanner, Trent, Isaac and Lexi and Austin joined in too.
Jacob won with the tallest creation.
Sami made sure to smile and I told her she looked squeeky clean since she had just taken a shower.
Next we had a word find with about a dozen names of Lego Sets.
Then we thought it would be fun to make a Lego creation out of candy!
It was supposed to stick like making gingerbread house but the candy was too heavy and the icing too runny.
Grandma and Grandpa Rich came and admired Adrian's Lego cake!
He's all ready to blow out the candles and make a wish!
Can you believe that there are seven layers to this cake?
And it sure tastes good!
Ethan was wowed by his friend, Tanner's, gift box! They painted and glued smaller boxes on top to look like jumbo Legos!
Ethan said his wish came true and he was thrilled to get the Lego set he was wanting: Lego Space Police! (He must have told all his friends his wish because he ended up with 3 of them) :)
Grandma always gives the grandkids gold dollar coins for as many years they are old!
Finally we end with whacking the pinata. It fell off the tree unopened after 3 turns so Trent showed us his batting skills and Adrian just tossed it to him and after 2 hits- success!
Hooray for candy! I think the boys had a great time and Ethan was thrilled celebrate with all his good friends.
