RS University

We have just started a monthly meeting called, "RSU- Relief Society University" where we learn how to do things that help us become better people! Since my Uncle makes t-shirts, I had him make up this one that I can wear for fun at our meetings and to cheer the sisters on!
We had a cozy group to kick it off but it was lots of fun. It was titled, "Cutting Costs With Coupons." We will rotate the meetings in different homes, but this first one was at our house.
Believe it or not but Adrian was the one to teach it because he really is a coupon expert. We play "The Grocery Game" That is a computer service that will coordinate the coupons we collect weekly from the Sunday paper with the food sales at Albertson's and Walgreens. It's really slick and fairly easy to do. We often save more than we spend and it really helps in stock piling for our food storage. Adrian made up several fun games like you might play on "The Price is Right".
We got to play, "The Better Bargin" and so forth. You really kind of need to know the prices of things so you know when it's a good deal.
Cindy was a great contestant! Here she got to match up products that had the same price. I am grateful I have a husband who isn't ashamed to stand in line with a wad of coupons an buy me my female products!

Aww I wish I could have been there! For some reason I have really gotten into coupons recently.
I've already bought a year supply of name brand laundry detergent that was $1.99 each (Walgreens). I also got Arrowhead 24 packs of water for $2.49 each for drinking or possibly food storage (Albertson's).
It makes you feel so good when you get an awesome deal that even beats Walmart's prices!
I'm going to finally look into the grocery game too!

How fun!
My sister played The Grocery Game for awhile. It was fun hearing about all the times that the cash register at the store locked up because my sister was saving so much with her coupons! I've never been much of a coupon clipper (you would think my sister's experience would have given me the boost I needed).
I hope you'll continue to post about future RSU meetings. I'd love to hear all about what I'm missing! :)

I just have to share that Adrian just got back from Albertsons and since they have deal where you spend $30 on select items and get $15 back and you combine that will manufacters coupons and the other sales they offer, he was able to get $200 worth of items (50 total) for only $50!! That's a fourth the cost and averages $1 per item and he got Tide and a ton of Pantene etc. You can see why they call it a "game" cause it's darn fun!
