After Disneyland, Adrian and Sami make a trip to Santa Monica Beach. Looks like in February, it's a bit cold!

Sami buys a shark tooth necklace to remember it by.

Jean were a bit more comfortable in the end.

Next up HOLLYWOOD!

Shouldn't that read, "Far Far Away"? :)

American Idol, the Kodak Theater was used last year.

Hard Rock Cafe...

Sami gets a piture with her favorite actor!

Some others...

Then to spend the night at Adrian's Aunt, "Appa's" house in Pasadena. Sami relaxes on the front lawn waiting for her to get off work.

Appa has a wonderful surprise for Sami- some new Indian clothes! Doesn't she look beautiful?

And even a bouquet of roses in honor of their visit and her birthday! Sami felt very special.

For dinner that night, they went to an all you can eat Mongolian BBQ that was fantastic. Left is Saquib, their son, and to the right is Appa and her husband, Rasheed Uncle.

Appa's comfy sofa. Look's like Sami's ready to call it a night.

Fair Oaks Pharmacy is a place we've seen spotlighted on the Travel Channel...

Looks like some big helpings! Yum.

The next day they had a family gathering for Sami's birthday celebration. Here Shaheen and Navid Uncle visit with Sami.

When Adrian's Indian relatives cook, they always cook for an army!

When you eat there, you HAVE to eat a lot, or they will be offended. And it is very authentic, spicy Indian food! Luckily, Sami likes spicy!

And now to sing, "Happy Birthday" and blow out the candles.

This is Farina, Adrian's cousin and her new baby. Ad was able to give advice and share how difficult Sami was with colic as a baby.

These are some more of Adrian's cousins, Matthew, Beena, Sami, Kiran, Isaac.

Ad takes a turn...

The whole group!

Adrian wanted to do a little family history while there because his dad was the first LDS person in his family line that we know of. He was surpised that his aunt had a whole map of his lineage suposedly all the way back to Adam. (There are some holes)

This is the grave stone to Adrian's famous grandmother who was an Indian princess and worked towards women's rights during her life. We have a blanket that she made and we love to use it and think of her. Unfortunately she died before I ever got to meet her.

That concludes Adrian and Sami's adventures! Sami still talks about what a great time that was and Lexie can't wait until her turn next year!

I LOVE that Adrian took Sami on her own trip. What a great way for a dad to bond with his girl. It looks like it was a great trip full of fun memories!
