Marine World

One of the days on our trip to CA was spent at Marine World (or offically now: Discover Kingdom). Here we start out the day posing with Wonder Woman and Batman. I have to say I was excited to see Wonder Woman as she was a part of my childhood memories!
Cute little penguins!
Petting the stingrays. They are so "leathery" and smooth.
A sea lion.
Sami was sweet enough to go on some of the kiddie rides with her brothers.
Ethan, Ausin, Atticus and Soni try out the swings. I would get way to dizzy if I went!
I just happened to turn my camera on when I saw Richard Weaver on the big screen! You can see Grandpa Snider in the hat next to him. His moment of fame!
The Killer Whale show was fun. At one point, the whale left the pool and the announcer said she wasn't "obeying" and just like with kids, she was going to take a little "time out".

Sonia and Atticus ride the kiddie train.
What a good dad...
The Weaver's share their stroller with the rest of the kids...it sure came in handy!
In the butterfly house there was a little pond with Koi fish. They were big and colorful.

We loved looking at all the pretty butterflies. It was very hot and humid in there so we didn't last too long.

This was a shark in a big tank. Yikes!
We enjoyed hanging out with the Weavers and Granny and Grandpa Snider all day. It felt good to sit for a bit in the shade and enjoy the dophin show.
The dolphins were the highlight of our day! They always look so happy and friendly. Last year we went and Adrian got to be the one from the audience that goes up and feeds/pets the dolphins. On the downside he got drenched with water and had wet tennis shoes the rest of the day!

This roller coster ride was just right for Ethan. He went on it a ton!
Sami was so sweet to give her brother a rest by giving him a piggy-back ride for a while.

Adrian went on the Boomarang with Sami. This one goes forward through loop-d-loops and then backwards on the track!
Sami was brave enough to go by herself because after one ride, Adrian was "done".
For the boy's souvineer we got capes that glow in the dark!

On the way home we stopped visited my aunt and uncle, Randy and Margene Rich and their kids. They hooked us up with the best rootbeer floats we've ever had!
The view of the valley as we come up over the hill on the way home from our CA adventures is always a welcomed sight! What a fun trip we had.

It will always be Marine World to me! I grew up with Marine World Africa U.S.A. and I was so sad when it all got bought and changed - but I guess everything changes sooner or later.
I was so happy to see that they have kept some of the shows and animals -They are so fun!!

I love those pictures. If you don't mind, a question if I may? *ahem* Did you actually go to Marine World dressed as Superwoman?
