So my sister, Wendy, let her girls plan a Halloween party this year. She asked me to help her put it on. I was surprised that they invited about 100 teenagers!! We had our dad dress up (below) and he was our "bouncer" so to speak and kept the kids from leaving before it was over. He used a "voice changer" so he sounded scarier!

When you walked in side you saw the pictures of the kids over the piano and we had fun using a dry-erase marker to change them up.

There was a witch in the corner adding to the eerie ambiance.

We had fun making the bathroom creepy too. Look familiar?

With the lights out, it looked like this:

My brother-in-law, Jeff, dressed up and sat in the office by the front door where the kids came in. He would sit still then as they walked by jump up with the knife and really spook them.

Here are the kids checking him out!

Here is a closer look at the mask- Parker, my nephew, is wearing it.

I had fun take pictures of all the kids in costume with a spooky backdrop. Here are Madi and Erin, the hostesses of the party!

There was an abundance of food! When you have over 70 teenagers in your house, you don't want to run out of food.

Just a few closeups of the festive food:

We make these breadsticks year round (minus the greed food coloring and almond fingernails) and the kids LOVE them.

Being Halloweeen, they had to show a spooky movie. They had a "big screen" by using my Dad's creation: a sheet that he put over a PVC pipe frame. They ended watching "Poltergeist" and it's amazingly PG. It was humorous at some parts but caused some good jumps and screams.

Madi hid a can of silly string and when people would scream, she'd surprise everyone and spray it in the air for effect.

In the garage was where the kids could dance. It was lit with black lights and a strobe light. Here you could see Carli Rice well because her whole costume would glow.

Some of the decor along with a ton of webs in the garage.

You can imagine how pooped we all were by nights end. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun too! When it was over, my girls asked if I would ever let us have a party like that at our house...you can guess my answer- NO!
