Glenns Ferry

I'm finally catching up on my blogging! Here are pictures from our trip to Glennsferry over Labor Day weekend. We were happily surprised that friends from 16th Ward, Michael and Marci Pishl and their twin girls were camping at the same campground! We loved the grassy common area that felt like a park with nice shade trees. In the summer this would be an ideal place. The weather was really cooling down a bit so we had some chilly moments. The campfire and heater in the trailer kept us warm.
All the boys needed to keep happy was a little fire to feed! Seriously, Austin could barely be drug away from the flames to go to bed!

A littl fun with the flashlights...

The Pishl's had scouted out a "family friendly" fishing spot the day before so we followed them to this little area that seemed to pop up out of no where. It was very windy and very cold. We were glad to see someone had left fire wood there!

We didn't have much luck and to our surprise, the Hagerman Fish and Game pulled up with 1000 rainbow trout to stock the pond!

I've never seen them shoot out fish before! It was so tempting to just scoop them up and take them home. It took them about a half hour to snap out of it and swim away from shore.
A little further drive and we made it to the hot springs for a nice warm swim!

The kids love all the things you can do there with the slide, log and beach balls to bounce around.

Another 15 miles and we come to the highly recommended Cloverleaf Creamery for some fresh homemade icecream!
Austin was brave enough to order this. I was worried he wouldn't eat it but he ate every bite!

You can see with all the waterfalls along the road why it's called 1000 Springs! Beautiful!

Back at the trailer we had fun just hanging out, eating food and playing games.

This was the final campout of the season. Without a trailer, I think it would have been too cold, but we made it home before the rain hit!

There are so many great places to explore when you have a trailer! Looks like a fun weekend and the fish shooting out were cool!
