RS Birthday Dinner

This was just a fun night! For our Relief Society dinner, we had different ladies take a table and decorate them in whatever party theme they wanted! At the front we had a few things: They could guess how many jelly beans were in the jar (544). Traci Brown put together a slide show of pictures from past activities put to music. We also had each sister put their name on a the back of cutout present and as they left, the took a different one. The idea is, their "gift" to R.S. would be to do an act of kindness/service for the name they picked.

We had different soups and rolls and some of the ladies brought a few appetizers to share too.
Dina Gardner (who shared the table with Sharon Redding) made her famous cupcakes. (I had to steal one of them) If you haven't tasted them and get the chance: DO!
Don't you just love her bowls and plates? I chuckled how she didn't deny that she bought little "goodie bags" to bribe people to sit at her table. (Like she would ever need to do that!)
Susanne Thames (who also worked with Bethany Francey)"wowed" all of us with her very colorful cake and decorations.
Just look at that cake! Believe it or not, she hadn't even seen Katie Bakow's 18th b-day cake! We all decided we need to have some cake decorating lessons soon.
Julie Shepherd (who also worked with Stephanie Davis) made this fun table with "blue and brown paper bag" as their inspiration. It turned out great and I heard their sugar-free cheesecake with blueberries was divine!
JeanAnn Cravens and Sarah Lacey put together this one with Spring and Flowers as their theme. I think that was a lemon cake and they even let the ladies take home the pots of flowers as a party favor!
This table here is another Tammy Jones and Ursula Tingey origonal! Having just gone to Hawaii, it was no surprise where they got the idea.
Just look at the "stuffed pig" cake. It cracked us up that under all that fondant was a blood red cake! Too bad Tammy wasn't there to witness us tear into the pig...it was yummy.
Jenny Moore and Michele Robinson were kind enough to this very St. Patty's Day table! I thought we might end up with more green decorations that night, being that it was held on the 17th. but this one made me want to go "pinch" someone!
Alexis Rutman amazed us with doing this table by herself with her four young children watching her and cheering her on. It was elegant and beautiful. We ended with Jenny Moore doing a great job speaking about celebrations. We definately have some great talent in our ward! Thanks to all who worked so hard that night!
